1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing J R Cleaning & Sons Ltd for your cleaning needs. This document outlines our booking terms and conditions to ensure a smooth experience for you.
2. Booking Terms and Conditions
To secure your booking, we require a non-refundable deposit of £50 or £100. This deposit will be kept if you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice. If we arrive at your property and find it larger or dirtier than quoted by the customer, requiring more time or staff, we’ll discuss any additional charges with you before starting. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, we cannot proceed with the job, your deposit will be refunded in full.
If we’re unable to start a job because of your error (e.g., wrong keys provided), there will be a charge of £21.63 (half our hourly rate). If we can’t reschedule the job, your deposit will be forfeited. For larger properties (4 bedrooms or more) or heavily soiled ones, an hourly rate of £86.50 for 1 hour may apply instead, as extra staff may have been needed.
We class booking with less than 48 hours notice as emergency bookings, for an emergency booking we may charge an additional fee of £21.63 (half our hourly rate), or £43.25 for larger properties or properties which are heavily soiled.
3. Quality Assurance
We aim for exceptional service. After completion, we’ll send you photos of all cleaned areas. If you’re not satisfied with any area, we’ll review the photos and revisit the property to fix any genuine concerns. This is provided payment was made in advance or a deductible deposit was paid through an estate agent. If payment was made post-service, we’ll revisit once the originally agreed-upon price is paid. Please raise all concerns before our revisit, as we will only revisit a property once. If the clean was originally for an empty property (e.g. an end of tenancy clean) then we will only revisit if it is still empty, in the example of an end of tenancy clean this would mean we need to be provided with a chance to rectify our mistakes before a new tenant has moved in. We will not return to heavily soiled properties if we had attempted to clean the area in question, and we will not return to emergency bookings.
4. Time Slots
Your cleaning appointment will be scheduled for morning, afternoon, or evening. Specific times may vary based on our schedule.
5. Additional Terms
You’re responsible for providing access to the property at the agreed-upon time. Even if arranged through an estate agent, you must ensure access. Failure to do so may result in charges. Any changes to the booking must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance to avoid losing your deposit. We reserve the right to refuse service if the property poses a risk to our staff’s health or safety.
6. Liability
We’re not liable for damages to personal property unless caused by our negligence. Please secure valuables and fragile items before our arrival.
7. Amendments
We may change this policy at any time. You’ll be notified of any changes, and continued use of our services means you accept the updated policy.
8. Termination of Services
If there are repeated breaches or misconduct by you, we reserve the right to terminate services without refund. This includes verbal or physical abuse towards our staff or failure to provide access to the property.
